Data Integration: Connect, Embed, Enrich
The Company Brain is only as good as the data feeding it. The data integration layer is responsible for reaching every relevant source — relational databases like Oracle, Postgres, MySQL; SAP systems via RFC and OData; SaaS tools such as Confluence, Notion, Jira, ServiceNow, Salesforce; file stores including SharePoint, Google Drive, S3; and communication channels like Slack and email — and bringing their content into a form the brain can reason over.
RapidCore ships with managed connectors for the most common enterprise systems and a connector SDK for everything else. Connectors handle authentication, incremental sync, change detection, and rate limiting, so you do not have to maintain bespoke ETL for each source.
Once content is reached, RapidCore chunks it (schema-aware for structured data, semantically for unstructured text), generates embeddings using your model of choice, and enriches each chunk with metadata: source identifiers, owners, timestamps, classifications, extracted entities, and access control labels. The output is a vector index plus a metadata store, both deployed inside your perimeter.

The RAG Core: Grounded Answers, Always Cited
The RAG core is the brain's reasoning layer. When a question arrives — from a person, an automation, or another system — it is the RAG core that decides what to retrieve, how to combine it, which model to send it to, and how to present the answer with citations.
RapidCore uses hybrid retrieval (vector similarity plus lexical search and structured filters), reranks the candidates with a cross-encoder, and assembles a context window that respects both relevance and the user's permissions. Authorization filtering happens at the retrieval layer — users never receive content their underlying systems would not have shown them.
The LLM itself is pluggable. Teams use OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, or fully self-hosted open models depending on cost, latency, and data residency requirements. Switching models is a configuration change, not a re-architecture.
Hybrid retrieval
Vector search, BM25, and structured filters combined — so you get the right context whether the question is conceptual, exact-match, or filter-driven.
Permission-aware
Source-system ACLs propagate to retrieval. A user querying the brain only sees data they could see in the source — enforced at every request.
